We posted a story about Tia, the female pit bull, who was found around Anderson Lake on a hot day and brought in to the shelter by the people who found her. We worked with various groups and rescued Tia from the shelter and then we worked hard to treat her multiple medical conditions over the last 2 months to get her healthy and ready for adoption.

We’re now happy to report that Tia is ready for adoption and is now looking for her forever home and new family!! She’s also attending an obedience class to sharpen up her skills. You can read her bio and complete an online application if you’re interested!

We couldn’t have done this without the help of many organizations and individuals who donated their networking skills, time, and money towards Tia’s care.

KUDOS and Gratitude to everyone who helped to support Tia’s rescue:

  • San Jose Animal Care & Services (SJACS – Guardian Angel Program)
  • San Jose Animal Advocates
  • PAWS for SJACS (Pet Awareness and Welfare Society)
  • Dr. Kiran Rapal DDS and staff
  • Many individual donors
  • Kaajal Tiwary with D for Dog Training
  • and to Foster Mom Sheilly and her family for opening up their hearts and their home to Tia.

We are still accepting donations to offset Tia’s medical expenses. Please indicate your donation to go towards Tia.

She is such an amazing dog! She will be at our adoption center during our Pet Adoption Dates – the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month, from 10:00am-1:00pm (please check our website for updated holiday dates). We are located at 1080 Saratoga Ave., #3, x-St. DeMille. Please stop in and meet this sweet girl – and please share for greater exposure! Thank you!
